PROGRAMME

Students of all the driving categories are oblige to take the following courses:

  1. Highway code.
  2. Road safety and accident prevention.
  3. Driving lessons in traffic.
  4. Basic car maintenance (garage).
  5. Insurance.
  6. First Aid.
  7. The road (Road traffic).


TIME TABLE

Special Note

Before the driving test from the ministry of transport, we have a mock exams in the school for both the theory and practicals.The theory mock shall last for one(1) hour and is made up of forty(40) Multiple choice questions (MCQs ) set in the following proportions :

    1.  Knowledge of the road.
    2.  Knowledge of the vehicle.
    3.  Mastery of the road signs.
    4.  Knowledge of applicable rules on road traffic.
    5.  Knowledge of administrative rules.
    6.  Knowledge of the driver’s civil and penal responsibilities.
    7.  Knowledge of first aid, road civism and road safety.

The practical mock test shall be organized around the following four lines :

    1. Vehicle maintenance.
    2. Manoeuvres especially parallel parking, reverse, U-turn and hill start.
    3. A twenty (20) minutes road traffic test per candidate.
    4. A first aid exercise.

Age Conditions and Restrictions on Candidature for Obtaining a driving license

Candidate for the different driving license shall be at least

  • 16 years old for category A
  • 18 years old for category B, F, G
  • 20 years old for category C
  • 21 years old for category D and E as well as for the certificate of competence and special authorization for transporting children

Candidates for driving license shall be short-listed if they don’t produce a medical certificate of fitness issued after a medical examination (Physical and Mental fitness)

Validity of Driving License

Driving license of category A, B, and G shall be valid for 10 years. however they may be renewed several times for the same length of time, after a satisfactory medical examination.The validity of category C, D, E and F license as well as certificates for driving of ambulances, hackney carriages and school buses shall be extended after medical examination, for periods stipulated as follow:

  1. Every 5 years driver less than 55 years old.
  2. Every 3 years driver between 55 to 60 years old. 
  3. Every years driver more than 60 years old.

Where the wearing of correction glasses or prosthesis equipment is compulsory for the driver, this shall be mentioned, if necessary, on the driving license.

Seniority Conditions

Candidates taking the driving test for categories C and D shall 

  • For the category C driving test show proof of at least two years of effective driving with the category B driving license.
  • For the category D driving test , show proof of at least one year of driving with the category C driving license.
  • Presents a non-conviction certificate of not more than three (3) Months old for both (C & D).
  • For the category E driving license, show proof of two years of driving with the category D driving license.
  • Pass a rigorous test on the Highway Code and a preliminary practical driving test on a vehicle, corresponding to the category requested.
  • Candidate for category G driving test shall produce a category B license.
  • The certificate of competence is obtained after two years of driving with the category B driving license.

Category A 1 License

For riding Motorcycle and Mopeds with an engine capacity from 50 to 100cm3.

Category A License

Elusively valid for driving motorcycles and mopeds with an engine capacity of 123cm3 and the Horsepower is 1CV.

Category B License

Valid for driving private and transport vehicles with at most nine seats including that of the driver or vehicle meant for transporting goods with an authorised laden weight not exceeding 3,500kg. Such a vehicle may be attached to a trailer with an authorised laden weight not exceeding 750kg.

Category C License

Valid for driving motor vehicles used for the carriage of goods or materials with authorized laden weight not exceeding 750kg.

Category D License

Valid for driving motor vehicles used for transporting persons and having , in addition to the driver's seat , more than nine seats or trailer of the category with authorized laden weight not exceeds 750kg.

Category E License

Valid for driving motor vehicles referred to in categories B,C or D and to which is attached a trailer which exceed 750kg.

Category F License

Valid for driving motor vehicles referred to in categories A and B that are specially designed for handicapped drivers.

Category G License

Valid for driving agricultural tractors, public works vehicles, caterpillars and any other industrial vehicle.
